English Language Learners

You will need to provide eligibility documentation when you register.

Identity (who you are):

• U.S. driver's license or state-issued ID
• U.S. passport or passport card
• Foreign passport
• Consular ID (matrícula consular)
• School-issued photo ID

Eligibility (authorization to participate in federally funded programs): Accepted documents include:

• U.S. birth certificate or certificate of citizenship
• U.S. passport or passport card
• Permanent resident card (green card)
• Employment Authorization Document (EAD)
• Form I-94 with "Parole" notation valid for one year or more
• Refugee or asylee documentation
• Certain visa categories that establish lawful presence

Each eight-week term costs $20. We can accept cash, check, or credit/debit card.

You'll take reading and listening assessments so we can place you in the right class level. There are no wrong answers — this just helps us figure out where you'll learn best. These assessments can take two hours in total to complete.

After your assessment, we'll help you pick a class time and location that works for you.
