IVCCD Bestows Ambassador of the Year Award to Center Associates

During the Iowa Valley Community College District All Staff Day, held August 15 at Ellsworth Community College, the District recognized several individuals that have contributed to the success of the campus communities.
Marshalltown Community College Provost Dr. Robin Lilienthal presented the award as follows:
Ambassador of the Year: The Ambassador of the Year Awards are designed to recognize community members or organizations that have represented IVCCD’s Core Values through their service or accomplishments that have directly benefited IVCCD and/or its students.
Ambassador of the Year Award to Center Associates
The award nomination read, in part, “Center Associates has been a critical partner with MCC to serve students by providing a mental health therapist to serve students alongside Nancy Adams in the Student Assistance Program. Students are able to receive counseling on campus; faculty are able to consult about issues and concerns; and Nancy and Nick Calzada are able to collaborate on shared topics. Center Associates has also provided faculty and staff training programs. This partnership ensures students’ mental health needs are addressed so they can be successful and receive a quality education.”
Accepting the award from Center Associates was Nick Calzada, Clinical Director.
