IVCCD Board Report – September Meeting
Enrollment Plan Tops IVCCD Board Agenda
IOWA FALLS — During its Sept. 11 meeting, the Iowa Valley Community College District Board of Directors were presented with an Enrollment Management Plan that aims to enhance student retention and graduation rates by developing a clear and cohesive onboarding process for new students.
The plan also seeks to increase community awareness, assess current enrollment demographics to determine strategies and target areas, and create a districtwide Enrollment Management Council. Additionally, the plan focuses on developing short-term diplomas and certificates to meet workforce needs and promoting online programs.
The plan emphasizes shared responsibility, focusing on diverse student populations, building relationships with area high schools and local communities, and evaluating current programs and workforce needs.
District Enters Agreement for Copier Services
The Board approved a 60-month lease/service agreement with Access Systems, Inc. to replace an expiring contract with EO Johnson for copier services.
The agreement includes servicing 32 District-owned copiers and upgrading equipment in the print shop to enhance output and reduce the need for outsourced projects. Because Access Systems is taking over service on existing equipment, it was able to offer a pricing concession.
